Die Mehrzahl der Influenza A Infektionen beim Menschen wird durch die Subtypen <strong>H1N1<\/strong> und <strong>H3N2<\/strong> hervorgerufen.<\/p>\n<p>Weltweit erkranken 3 &#8211; 5 Millionen Menschen j\u00e4hrlich an Influenza und ca. 250.000 &#8211; 500.000 sterben an der Erkrankung.<\/p>\n<h3>Eigenschaften von Influenzaviren<\/h3>\n<p>Charakteristisch f\u00fcr Influenzaviren ist ihre mutationsbedingte hohe Variabilit\u00e4t (Antigendrift) der H\u00fcllenantigene H\u00e4magglutinin (HA) und Neuramidase (NA). Dies kann zu neuen Varianten der unterschiedlichen Subtypen f\u00fchren. Neben dem mutationsbedingten Antigendrift k\u00f6nnen durch Durchmischung eines humanen und nichthumanen Influenza A Stamms neue Influenza A Subtypen (Antigenshift) entstehen, die eine Pandemie ausl\u00f6sen k\u00f6nnen. So steht z.B. der Influenza A-Subtyp H1N1 im Zusammenhang mit vergangenen und potentiellen neuen Grippe-Pandemien (z.B. Spanische Grippe 1918\/19; Schweinegrippe 2009).<\/p>\n<p>Durch solch einen Antigendrift kursiert in dieser Saison mindestens eine neue Influenza A (H3N2) Variante, wodurch der diesj\u00e4hrig verwendete Impfstoff eine verringerte Wirksamkeit zeigt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interessiert an weiteren Informationen?
