For in vitro diagnostic use. The RIDA®QUICK Rotavirus/Adenovirus Combi test is a quick immunochromatographic test for the qualitative determination of rotaviruses and/or adenoviruses in stool samples.
General information:
Rotavirus and adenovirus infections are main causes of acute gastroenteritis among hospitalized children. Clinical symptoms are not sufficient to distinguish viral gastroenteritis from other causes. Rapid and reliable detection of both enteric viruses supports health care professionals to improve patient care, prevent unnecessary antibiotic treatments, and control the spread of adenovirus and rotavirus infections.
